The pragmatic Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Hon. Dr. Gift Worlu, humbly and sincerely expresses his profound gratitude to the good people of Obio/Akpor LGA for their overwhelming turnout and active participation at the grand finale of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors Inauguration, held on Saturday, 30th May, 2026.
The Chairman describes the massive gathering as a clear demonstration of the uncommon commitment and loyalty that the people of Obio/Akpor have continued to show towards the ideals and vision of the Renewed Hope Agenda. He noted that the success of the event was made possible through the collective efforts of party leaders, stakeholders, candidates, supporters, women, youths and grassroots mobilizers who worked tirelessly to ensure a memorable and impactful inauguration ceremony.
Hon. Dr. Worlu extends special appreciation to the leaders, candidates and supporters of the Rainbow Coalition across the seventeen wards of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area and Rivers State at large. He particularly commends the State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Agenda, Ambassador Desmond Akawor and his team for their exceptional dedication and resilience in successfully taking the message of Renewed Hope to all twenty-three local government areas of the state. According to the Chairman, their sacrifices and grassroots engagement have significantly strengthened the coalition and expanded its reach across Rivers State.
The Council boss and Co-ordinator of Renewed Hope Ambassadors Obio/Akpor chapter also expresses deep appreciation to the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and Leader of the Rainbow Coalition in Rivers State, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, GSSRS for his exemplary leadership, mentorship and commitment towards the growth and stability of the coalition, and the state. He acknowledged the Minister’s invaluable role in providing direction and inspiration to members of the Renewed Hope family while pledging his continued loyalty and unflinching support to his leadership and political vision for Rivers State.
The chairman further urged the people of Obio/Akpor to remain united, focused and committed as the nation gradually approaches another electioneering season. He emphasized the need for Ward Co-ordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to be tireless in their work as “fishers of men,” who must work to spread the good news of Tinubu’s long term leadership philosophy for the collective good of the movement and the development of the nation.
The Chairman reiterates that the forthcoming elections will provide another opportunity for the people to consolidate on the gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda by speaking with one voice and mobilizing support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all candidates of the Rainbow Coalition across Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Rivers State and the country at large.
